Youth Programming for ages 0 to 12 years old
Third Week of Programming
Mon., 7/24 at 1 p.m. – More World Wonders – learn about natural wonders that are bright, high & hot.
Tues., 7/25 at 1 p.m. – Stories Galorius – The mother-daughter story telling team returns to tell us ‘A World of Stories’. You’ll love to hear them.
Wed., 7/26 at 1 p.m. – Castle Fun – Castles are an amazing buildings…come make one, play a knights & castle game, hear a story!
Thurs., 7/27 at 1 p.m. – Rick and Cory from Campfire Stories are back! Come sit around a campfire and hear them tell stories about building a better world.
Fri., July 28 at 1 p.m. – Tower Exploration – Listen to tower stories, build a tower and do tight walk practice!
Fourth Week of Programming – All programs are at 1 p.m.
Monday – 7/31 – Homes – Create a city skyline and participate in a skit about homes.
Tuesday – 8/1 – Communicate – Learn how the world of communication has been built up with stories, games & fun activities
Wednesday – 8/2 – Tool Petting Zoo – Kids can come to a tool petting zoo to learn about different tools & their important jobs in building a better world. Presented by Josh Santelli
Thursday, 8/3 – Quake and Make – This program is full of hands on activities. It’s about Earthquakes (Quake) and Constructing Buildings (Make). It will be about an hour long and sure to be loads of fun!
Friday, 8/4 – Hidden Senses – lots of fun activities to test your 5 senses! We use our five senses to help us build a perception of the world around us!
Teen/Adult Programming for July 2017 – For ages 13 to adult.
Programs are Tuesday & Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. No registration required. *Programs are subject to change*
Tuesday, July 25 – Stories Galorious – Join this mother-daughter story telling duo as they present The Adventures of Charles Augustus Milverton, the riveting story of the “king of all the blackmailers”. Holmes and Watson contend with a robbery, a surprise engagement and a life at risk of ruin.
Thursday, July 27 – Armchair Traveler – Have you traveled around the United States? Share your experiences, photos, and souvenirs for a travelogue. (If photos are on your phone, please transfer to a different format for easier viewing. (please limit to 5-10 minutes)
Tuesday, August 1 – Build a Better Meal Challenge – A food preparation challenge focused on healthy eating. Are you up to the challenge and can you impress the judges? Time and decision making will tell…
Thursday, August 3 – Walking Tour of Lyons / Scavenger Hunt – Join us at the town park where we’ll begin a mini tour of the history & architecture of Lyons led by Pat Alena. Get the answers to the Scavenger Hunt. Rain Date is Tuesday, August 8. (Please note that if it is raining, the following program will be held instead, CD and Nail Art – What art can you create using CDs, paint, nails and string?)
