Lyons Public Library

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the inhabitants of the Lyons Central School District, as taxpayers for the Lyons Public Library, will be held at said li­brary, 122 Broad Street, Lyons, New York, in said district, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., for the transaction of such business as is authorized by the Education Law.

And notice is also given that a copy of the state­ment of the amount of money which will be      re­quired for the ensuing year for library purposes may be obtained by any taxpayer in the district during the fourteen days immediately preceding the Annual Meeting, ex­cept Sunday or holiday, at the Lyons Public Li­brary during its regular hours of business.

And notice is also given that petitions nominating candidates for the office of member of the board of trustees must be filed in the Lyons Public Li­brary with the library director, not later than 5 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022.  The following vacancies are to be filled on the board of trustees:  one five-year term begin­ning July 1, 2022.

And notice is also given that application for absentee ballots for the election of board mem­bers may be applied for at the library. Absentee ballots must be returned to the library by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17.

Voting on the election of the trustees and appropriation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, between the hours of 12 and 8 p.m. in the Lyons Public Library.
