The library is happy to offer two new, related programs: “Classics Book Club” and “Book to Film.” Library Director Joe O’Toole will facilitate both. Each event is a standalone session. Participants can attend the book discussion, the film screening, or both!

Classics Book Club will focus on famous works of literature, starting with Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. Participants will read each novel before the meeting date, then come together for a discussion about the book. Joe will provide background information about the author and insights into the work.

Book to Film will be held one week after the book discussion. We will watch a film adaptation of the month’s featured classic novel to discover similarities and differences between these two forms of artistic expression.

An introductory and interactive program for beginners led by Michaeline Wojtkowski on Tuesday, January 17 at 5:30pm.

People have been using Tarot cards for centuries to divine wisdom and gain special insight about the future.

At this beginner, interactive program, you will learn to understand the concepts related to the Tarot and expand your intuition.

An instructional book is provided, but bring your own Rider-Waite deck if you have one so you can practice some readings.

New stitch group starting Tuesdays at the library in January

If you stitch in any form, please come to the library Tuesday afternoons and stitch in good company.
We’ll meet every Tuesday at 1:00.

Bring the project you’re currently working on, and we’ll sit and chat and drink coffee, tea or cocoa and stitch.
