Mon., April 2 – 3 p.m. – Monthly Jigsaw Puzzle Swap – Drop by and grab a puzzle or 5 to take home and enjoy!
Wed., April 4 – Building Time for kids up to 12 years @ 2:45 p.m. – Build a fort, castle, bridge or skyscraper with the library’s Lego and Lincoln Log collections.
Thurs., April 5 & Thurs., April 19 – Hobby Circle meets from 1-3 p.m. This is for all crafters and hobbyists.
Fri., April 6 – Book Review at noon – Carol Bailey will review “A Piece of the World” by Christina Barker Kline.
Fridays – April 6, 13, 20 & 27 – Mahjong Club meets from 1-3 p.m. Come and learn how to play. Everyone is welcome!
Tues., April 10 – The Friends will be hosting an Open House from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. to celebrate our 10th anniversary at the Library and to recognize our wonderful staff. There will be refreshments and presentations to the staff at 10:15 a.m. Enter to win a free prize basket!
Wed., April 11 – 6:30 p.m. Cookie Decorating for Tween and Teens – 7 Tweens (ages 8-12) and 7 Teens (13 and older) may register for the program. We do ask that one adult comes with each Tween. Participants will learn two different decorating techniques, the royal icing fill method and the dip glaze method. Each person will receive 6 cookies to decorate and then they will be able to take them home. Tabitha Corey, library staff member and hobby baker, will premake the royal icing and the dip glaze. Everyone will go home with the recipes for the cookies, royal icing and glaze. The class is free but registration is required and limited to 14 people (this is does not include adults that come with Tweens.) Please register by Fri., April 6.
Fri., April 13 & Fri., April 27 – Stitchin’t Time meets at 10 a.m. until noon. Again, this is for all crafters and hobbyists.
Sat., April 14th – 10:30 a.m. – Master Gardener Wendy Mendola will do a slide presentation on how to make terrariums and she will bring one to show. This workshop requires a minimum of 10 people to be held. Registration is required and limited to 15 people.
Wed., April 18 – 2:45 p.m. – Tween Time (ages 8-12) – Come and see what fun exciting things we are doing this month.
Wed., April 18th – 6:30 p.m. Cupcake Bake & Decorate for Adults – Tabitha Corey, library clerk, will have you baking and decorating two different kinds of cupcakes in no time. The baking will be done at the library. Registration is required and limited t0 15 people.
Wed., April 25th – Books & Beyond Book Club at 1 p.m. We will be discussing “Sahara” by Clive Cussler.
Wed., April 25th – 6:30 p.m. – Master Gardener Barbara Cummings will present a demonstration on Container Gardens which will cover both vegetable and flower containers. This workshop requires a minimum of 10 people to be held. Registration is required and limited to 15 people.
Mon., April 30 – Annual Library Meeting – 7 p.m. – Library Board of Trustees will present the proposed budget in the Community Room.
Tues., May 1 – Budget Vote and Trustee Election – Noon – 8:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Wed., Oct 17 – Sat., Oct. 20 — Book and Bake Sale – The Friends Preview Night on the 17th is 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. On the 18th hours are 10-8:30; on the 19th hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and on the 20th hours are 9:00a .m. – 1:00 p.m.
Fri., Nov. 16 & Sat., Nov. 17 – Christmas Flea Market – Hours are 10-5 on the 16th and 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on the 17th.
