The Board of trustees will present the 2021-2022 budget on Monday, May 3 at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome. The annual budget vote will be held on Tuesday, May 4 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the Community Room at the library, which is located at 122 Broad Street. Three library trustees will also be elected at the same time. In order to be eligible to vote you must be at least 18 years old, have been a resident of the Lyons School District for 30 days prior to the vote, and be a United States citizen. Absentee ballots are available for people who are physically unable to come to the library to vote or who will be out of town the day of the vote. Absentee ballots must be picked up by Monday, May 3 and must be returned to the library by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4. An absentee ballot application link is provided for your convenience. Friends may call on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 1-3 PM at the Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, NY. Facemasks will be required. Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad St., Lyons, NY 14489.
Theresa was born in Fulton, NY on November 16, 1960 the daughter of the late George and Ruth Senecal Streb. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s degree in Library Science both from SUNY Geneseo. She has been with the Lyons Public Library since July of 1986. She was a member of the Lyons Heritage Society. She had been an active volunteer at Peppermint Festival, Erie Canal and many other other local organizations.
She is survived by many cousins, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Stuart Streb.
